Grower-Direct Nurseries Offer Consistent Care and Conditions

Different plants have different requirements for optimal growth, and require different nutrients, lighting conditions, and watering amounts. There is no one-size-fits-all approach to gardening; for example, new juniper bushes only need watering a couple of times a week, while buttonbush thrives in high water conditions. Grower-direct nurseries have extensive knowledge about the specific plants they specialize in, along with perfectly calibrated conditions for the seedlings to flourish. This means that when you order direct, you get a healthy, thriving plant, every single time.

LowCo Gardeners Cuts Out the Middlemen

LowCo Gardeners cares passionately about its plants, just as much as their customers do. What’s harder to control, however, is how the plants are handled when they leave their growing environment. When sent to a gardening or hardware store, stocked plants may sit in conditions that may not be ideal for an indeterminate amount of time until they finally sell. Sending the plants directly to the customer means that they spend a minimum of time in the middle and can get into an environment where they will be well cared for. That’s not to say that big-box stores mistreat their plants – but it is also not particularly feasible for them to maintain optimal conditions for their stock while waiting for sale the way a grower-direct nursery can.

Proven Track Record and Expertise

Because LowCo Gardeners has spent so much time developing our infrastructure for our nursery, we’ve learned over time what works and doesn’t. While the Internet is great for researching conditions to keep a plant healthy, it can be difficult to separate fact from opinion. With a proven track record of growing the plants we sell, we can then pass that knowledge onto our customers so that the plants thrive with them just as much as they do with us.
